英文是學句子，不是背單字。這週的句型專門用來強調「直到某個時刻，某件事才發生」——”Not until...”，一個讓你的作文敘述瞬間有層次感的高分句型。
本週句型：Not until...
為什麼這個句型重要？
在雅思 Task 2 中，你常常需要描述「某個改變發生的時間點」或「某個條件成立後才有的結果」。直接說 “After... , something happened.” 當然沒問題，但如果你用 “Not until...”，你同時展示了：
對強調句型的掌握（Task Achievement）
倒裝句的運用能力（GRA）
更精確的時間表達（LR）
這三點同時加分，是非常划算的高分句型投資。
句型結構解析
基本版（Not until 在中間）：
主詞 + did not + V + until + 時間/子句
例：Scientists did not understand the full impact of pollution until the 1970s.
進階版（Not until 在句首，需倒裝）：
Not until + 時間/子句 + did/was/were + 主詞 + V
例：Not until the 1970s did scientists fully understand the impact of pollution.
📌 倒裝重點：Not until 移至句首時，主要子句必須倒裝（助動詞 did / was / were 提前），這是展示進階文法的好機會！

寫作怎麼用？
“Not until...” 最適合放在段落的主題句或第二句，用來引出「一個重要轉折點」。它特別適合討論歷史變遷、政策影響或科技發展的題目，讓你的論述有一個清楚的時間軸。
口說怎麼用？
Part 1 或 Part 2 描述個人經驗時，”Not until I...” 是分享「頓悟時刻」的最有力說法。在口說時，”Not until” 後面要稍微停頓，讓考官感受到你在強調這個時間點的重要性。
